Vantages West

Vantages West was one of a handful of clubs that launched during the peak period of destination clubs that failed to grow due primarily to intense competition at all levels of the industry and a lack of any truly identifiable characteristics.

"It's a dream come true," the club's literature began. "Your own collection of luxury homes throughout the West and into the Pacific Rim. In locations carefully chosen for seasonal variety and lifestyle desirability."

"Vantages West presents a unique opportunity that combines the benefits of luxury-home ownership with the freedom to choose between multiple locations. All for much less than the cost and effort associated with typical second-home ownership."

When they entered the space, Exclusive Resorts and Tanner & Haley Destination Clubs still held a dominant market share to top the industry and Private Escapes, Quintess, Ultimate Resort, Dream Catcher Retreats, and Solstice were all making tremendous progress as they moved to become established clubs in the industry.

The undercapitlized Vantages West quickly fell out of the sector, with only a handful of members at best, as many of their prime competitors went on to have banner years.
