Sybaritic Retreats

Sybaritic is defined as "devoted to or marked by pleasure and luxury." It also taken from the ancient Greek city Sybaris, noted for its wealth, that was destroyed by Crotona in 510 BC.

Outside of that, nothing else is known about the small destination club. The club's website remained active from 2004 until 2009, with smooth jazz music playing lightly in the background, further defining Sybaritic, but with little insight into the club's structure, benefits, pricing, or candidly any true information about Sybaritic Retreats.

Despite the lack of information about the club, it managed to even get a mention in the New York Times, making mention of the aspirational names of "Dream Catcher, Exclusive Resorts, Private Escapes and Sybaritic Retreats."

Even with the name drop, Sybaritic apparently never evolved passed the flashy website and the destination club concept.

Late in 2009, years after receiving any updates, the club's page was removed, indicating the end of the club's long and unexceptional tenure.
