Ski Destinations
Membership Plans

One of the many niche clubs to enter the destination club industry, the appropriately named Ski Destinations would focus on providing members accommodations at luxury ski properties.

A sister club to Fly Fishing Destinations, a destination club crafted for fly fishing enthusiasts, Ski Destinations would use a unique structure in the design of their club.

Unlike most destination clubs that offer membership in perpetuity, allowing a member to travel for as many years as they wish provided that they continue to pay the accompanying annual dues and fees, Ski Destinations would give members five years of access to the club properties.

"What is Ski Destinations LLC? It's a Membership Club that is simple and enjoyable. A Ski Destinations Club Membership gives you, your family, friends and guests two weeks of access for five consecutive years to beautiful custom built homes at five different ski resort locations. Each year your access moves to a new location. Winter and summer activities are spectacular. Services provided are extensive and customized to your personal requests."

"This is a five year club membership that provides multi million dollar custom built homes adjacent to major ski resorts. Each home is professionally interior decorated with the best of furnishings. Also available are services to line you up with local ski adventures, ski teachers and equipment."

Travelers would purchase a membership for $80,000, giving them two weeks of annual access to a club property, one week during the peak ski season and another week during the off-season. The $80,000 membership was amortized across the five years of membership, essentially breaking down to a per year fee of $16,000. While the $80,000 was paid up front, this per year cost would factor into the club's resignation structure. The club would refund 80% of the amount still left on the membership to resigning members. For example, if a member wished to leave after their fourth year, they would still have $16,000 left on their membership, one-fifth of the original $80,000. The club would absorb 20% of the remaining $16,000 and refund the resigning member $12,800. Also, the club would write "If for any reason we do not attain enough members to purchase all five locations, funds will be reimbursed on a years utilized pro rata basis. Example: If you paid $80,000.00 for your five-year membership and only four separate locations were available for your use you would be reimbursed $16,000.00."

Planning on purchasing their first property following the acquisisition of their tenth member, Ski Destinations wasn't able to reach this goal and no properties were acquired.
