Ski Destinations
Members

Designed for the avid skier, Ski Destinations would give members two weeks of annual access to prized ski destinations through a unique destination club model.

While most destinations clubs offer memberships in perpetuity, simplying requiring the member to continue paying annual dues to continue accessing the club's amenities, Ski Destinations would offer memberships for five consecutive years.

Members would pay an $80,000 fee to join which would essentially amount to $16,000 per year with the club, with no amount refunded to the member upon the conclusion of the membership period or any annual dues paid by the member.

"This is a five year club membership that provides multi million dollar custom built homes adjacent to major ski resorts," the club would write. "Each home is professionally interior decorated with the best of furnishings. Also available are services to line you up with local ski adventures, ski teachers and equipment. A five year membership will cost approximately $80,000.00, which includes one week of use during the ski season and one week during the off season. At present membership reservations are free."

The sister company to Ski Destinations, Fly Fishing Destinations, would use an identical club structure, but for fly fishing enthusiasts.

Limited to just 90 total members, Ski Destinations would begin with a pursuit of their inaugural 10 members. "Property use is on a first come, first serve basis," Ski Destinations would publish."A $5000 fully refundable good faith deposit is required to reserve your membership. These funds are to be deposited into a third party escrow account until a total of ten members have reserved their club membership. An escrow account has been opened to handle the transaction. At any time and for any reason you would like to be reimbursed your $5000 deposit, the escrow company will do so at your personal request. Likewise, if Ski Destinations does not attain the required members needed for a given offering, the escrow company will automatically refund your $5000 good faith deposit."

With a member to property ratio of approximately 18 to one, Ski Destinations would refund a portion of the original payment to members if they did not reach their five property goal.

"If for any reason we do not attain enough members to purchase all five locations, funds will be reimbursed on a years utilized pro rata basis. Example: If you paid $80,000.00 for your five-year membership and only four separate locations were available for your use you would be reimbursed $16,000.00. Given that all five locations are available and for any reason you elect to leave the club you would be refunded 80% of the funds not used by prior visits based on a pro rata basis."

The club's initial property would be purchased following the acquisition of their tenth member, but it appears that the small, niche destination club was unable to reach this goal.
