Ski Destinations Holiday Access
Designed by and created for ski enthusiasts, Ski Destinations would have peak and non-peak seasons with members receiving one week of annual access in each. Limited to just 90 total members, the club would ultimately provide five properties to members.
Based out of Utah, Ski Destinations would bring a focus on the Rocky Mountain region. Following the acquisition of their tenth member, the destination club planned to introduce their first residence in either Alta or Park City, Utah. While the club would selectively purchase properties based on member needs, Ski Destinations planned to include a property portfolio that included:
- Alta, Utah
- Park City, Utah
- Jackson Hole, Wyoming
- Steamboat Springs, Colorado
- Big Sky, Montana
Memberships were available for $80,000 for the five years of travel, but members would not need to pay any annual dues or fees during their time as a member. Effectively, membership consisted of five years of pre-payment of $16,000 per year. This would be virtually identical to the model used by companion club Fly Fishing Destinations, a destination club created for luxury anglers.
"This is a five year club membership that provides multi million dollar custom built homes adjacent to major ski resorts," wrote the club. "Each home is professionally interior decorated with the best of furnishings. Also available are services to line you up with local ski adventures, ski teachers and equipment. A five year membership will cost approximately $80,000.00, which includes one week of use during the ski season and one week during the off season. At present membership reservations are free. If you are looking to have access to beautiful multi-million dollar ski homes but don’t want the headaches and monthly payments this is the answer."
On a first come, first served basis, members could make reservations at the club's residences. Based on the club's member to property ratio, the club was modeled to be occupied roughly 70% of the time and would allow non-members the ability to rent nights at club residences.
Unfortunately, Ski Destinations was unable to reach their inaugural ten member goal and the club did not proceed far past the introduction phase. If you would like to learn more about Ski Destinations, please access the club's quick links found to the right.
