Ski Destinations Executives
Like companion club Fly Fishing Destinations, Ski Destinations would utilize a model unlike the rest of the destination club industry.
Memberships would allow travelers five years of annual access to the club's collection of vacation properties for two weeks per year, one week during the peak ski season and one week during the off-season.
Crafted by passionate skiers, Ski Destinations would add a personal touch to their destination club.
"First things first," the club began. "A personal note, which will give you an idea what Ski Destinations wants to provide to our clients. As founder of Ski Destinations LLC and Flyfishing Destinations LLC my personal passions are Skiing, Hunting and Fly Fishing. These activities are usually done with my family, which includes my wife, Laura and sons Jason, Bryce and Chris. My wife Laura and I grew up skiing in California. We moved to Utah in 1997. Since that time Laura and I, and our three boys have skied primarily at Alta Ski Resort. Jason, Bryce and Chris all ski on Alta’s Freeride team. Laura is a ski instructor at Alta and has worked for them during the ski season since 1997. I personally ski forty-five plus days per year. We know the mountain and local people very well. Unless you have personal friends that work for Alta or Snowbird, the chance of you knowing the ins and outs of that area are slim and none. Ski Destinations can provide information and set you up like no other destination club in existence, period."
Members would pay $80,000 to join but would not have to pay additional annual dues or membership fees during the course of their five year membership. Effectively, this would equate to a per year fee of $16,000.
A small destination club planning to only grow to less than 100 members, Ski Destinations would have a fairly skeletal executive staff.
Jamie Astle Founder
Ski Destinations planned to introduce their first property after the acquisition of their tenth member. Unfortunately, it appears that the club did not reach this mark and no properties were added to the club's portfolio.
