Annual Dues

From the same group that created Fly Fishing Destinations, Ski Destinations would use the exact same business model, just with a different target audience.

While most destination clubs offer a membership in perpetuity, Ski Destinations and Fly Fishing Destinations both revolved around a five year membership structure.

"What is Ski Destinations LLC? It's a Membership Club that is simple and enjoyable. A Ski Destinations Club Membership gives you, your family, friends and guests two weeks of access for five consecutive years to beautiful custom built homes at five different ski resort locations. Each year your access moves to a new location. Winter and summer activities are spectacular. Services provided are extensive and customized to your personal requests."

"This is a five year club membership that provides multi million dollar custom built homes adjacent to major ski resorts. Each home is professionally interior decorated with the best of furnishings. Also available are services to line you up with local ski adventures, ski teachers and equipment."

Most destination clubs require a one-time membership deposit to join and annual dues for each year of membership. Ski Destinations and their five year membership would cost $80,000 to join, none of which was refundable following the five years of membership, but did not require any additional annual dues payments.

"A five year membership will cost approximately $80,000.00, which includes one week of use during the ski season and one week during the off season. At present membership reservations are free. If you are looking to have access to beautiful multi-million dollar ski homes but don’t want the headaches and monthly payments this is the answer."

Ski Destinations members would have two weeks of annual access to a club property, one peak ski season week and one off peak week of access, both on a first come, first served basis.

If the $80,000 is amortized across the five years of membership, the rough annual dues break down to $16,000 per year.

While most destination clubs do not function like Ski Destinations, a growing number of options have emerged that include "annual dues" only memberships to let members experience the benefits of destination club travel first hand.

Limited to just 90 total members, Ski Destinations originally sought just 10 and it appears that the club was unable to meet this initial goal.
