Despite being one of the shortest tenured players in the destination club industry, Simplicity International managed to pile in an extensive and convoluted history during their time in operation.

"Membership in Simplicity is truly unlike any other club or experience. Listed below are some of the unique highlights that make us different than all the competition," wrote the club.

"Unlimited Days without Dues: Simplicity does not limit members' days and never charges daily usage fees. Members can make six reservations per year more than one month in advance and an unlimited number of reservations 'at-a-moment's-notice.'"

"True Single Family Homes: A majority of our properties will be single-family environments with privacy and distinction not found in resorts."

"Drive-To Destinations: Simplicity emulates the true vacation-home experience by acquiring properties in destinations within three hours driving distance of any concentration of members."

"Unsurpassed Luxury Travel Program Included: Simplicity also provides more variety and customization than any other club. Membership includes unlimited use of our properties, plus up to 14 days a year of participation in our 'Hotels and Inns' and 'Adventure and Discovery' programs."

Simplicity International would offer multiple membership plans, each offering unlimited annual travel, but with their own number of reservations and reservation windows.

As mentioned, Simplicity International would not charge members a per night fee, unlike most other destination clubs that offered unlimited annual travel.

Launched early in 2005, by the summer of the same year, Simplicity International was "snapped up" by a large resort development. Over the course of the next year, the club was abandoned and John Schopfer, the club's first President and COO, reacquired Simplicity. Despite being in the hands of one of its former executives, the club would venture away from the destination club space and instead would become a resort real estate development company, thus concluding its time as a genuine destination club.
