Simplicity International Press Releases
A brief viewing of the press releases of Simplicity International can provide you with a fairly accurate history of the small Connecticut based destination club. Late in 2004, the upstart club would recruit John Schopfer to serve as President and COO, bringing his 20 years of vacation ownership experience to Simplicity. Following their launch in early 2005, Simplicity would be acquired by a "larger resort development group."
After more than a year, Schopfer would reacquire the club after the development group abandoned the project, only for Schopfer to not continue along the club's initial destination club path. Instead, Schopfer would take a similar approach as the development group and transition Simplicity International into a resort real estate development company.
