The Portofino Club Benefits Newborn Hope of Colorado Springs
Date: September 13, 2003
The Portofino Club held a charity event on Saturday, September 6, 2003 at the beautiful mansion of Classic Homes owner Jeff Smith in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The event benefited Newborn Hope, a non-profit organization dedicated to raising funds and support for premature infants. The mansion was decorated exquisitely with elegant flower arrangements and featured delightful entertainment.
The event raised $11,000 for Newborn Hope through the auction of a one-week stay in the Portofino Club’s Kona Coast, Hawaii, property. Dennis and Mary Nathan were the auction’s high bidder and all funds raised benefited Newborn Hope. "We were very pleased with the auction and felt we were able to raise a great deal of money and acknowledgement for a noble organization," commented Portofino Club Chairman Ron Tapp.
