The Portofino Club Benefits Tulsa Opera at McBirney Mansion Event

Date: November 18, 2003

The Portofino Club held a charity event on Thursday, November 13, at 6:00 pm at the McBirney Mansion to benefit the Tulsa Opera. In attendance were several members of Tulsa's high society, who enjoyed the beautifully decorated historic and elegant McBirney Mansion. Guests enjoyed the sweet scent of flowers provided by The Flower Shop at Castle Pines while sampling delectable hors d'oeuvres supplied by the Mansion's own chefs.

"We were pleased with the event and happy to have the opportunity to benefit such an excellent organization as the Tulsa Opera," commented Ed Anderson, Portofino Club President and CEO. "We look forward to working with them in the future." The highlight of the evening was Scott Filstrip winning a five-night stay in the Portofino Club's home in Spanish Bay, La Quinta, California, which the Club auctioned to benefit Tulsa Opera. With the combined auction and cash contributions from the Portofino Club, the event raised a total of $10,000, and had an excellent turnout of guests.
