The Portofino Club Benefits The Repertory Theatre of St. Louis

Date: October 28, 2003

The Portofino Club held a charity event on Wednesday, October 22, at 6:00 pm in the Clubhouse of The Plaza in Clayton to benefit the Repertory Theatre of St. Louis. The city's cultural elite enjoyed an excellent selection of authentic Italian cuisine, wines and liqueurs provided by LaChef. Guests also took home a custom gift box of truffles as a souvenir from the event.

"This event was an opportunity for us to benefit an excellent Theatre," said Ron Tapp, Portofino Club Chairman. "It is important that we touch the communities we work with and give back to them." To cap the evening, Ms. Ellen Ross won a five-night stay at the Portofino Club's home in Spanish Bay, La Quinta, California, which the Club auctioned to benefit the Repertory Theatre of St. Louis. The event raised a total of $5,800, with the combined auction and cash contributions from the Portofino Club.
