High Country Club Surpasses 100 Member Milestone

Date: July 20, 2006

Industry’s first nationally and regionally focused destination club

Denver-based High Country Club, the most affordable and accessible destination club on the market, announced today that it has successfully surpassed the 100 member milestone in less than nine months of operations. With four different membership plans, High Country Club offers its members multiple vacations in many of the world’s most desirable destinations, all for the price of a single family vacation. A customer-focused member services team and easy-to-use Web-based reservation system lets members enjoy effortless vacation experiences with family and friends. The High Country Club member base of over 110 members makes it one of the top destination clubs in the world.

According to the Helium Report, destination clubs are the fastest growing segment of the luxury travel market with affluent households choosing destination clubs as their primary vacation option. High Country Club has made the model friendly for a wide range of families that view destination clubs as a cost-effective alternative to luxury hotels, villa rentals and second home ownership. The average value of a High Country Club property ranges from $750,000 to $1 million, making it a luxurious, yet practical, alternative to most hotels or rental properties.

“We conducted diligent research into destination clubs and High Country Club came out on top. They offered the best value and membership that fit our lifestyle,” said High Country Club members Brian and Amy Hickox. “High Country Club makes it a no-brainer to take off on last minute weekend getaways, and the staff makes it easy for us to plan longer vacations. We had a fantastic time in Cabo earlier in the year with our kids and now we’re set to go to the Caribbean later this year with friends. It’s a perfect way to build vacations and adventure into our busy lives.”

High Country Club has carved out a unique niche in the destination club industry by being the industry’s first nationally and regionally focused club. This allows members to easily access accommodations within driving distance, as well as across the country or around the globe. The Club has seven luxury residences in the Rocky Mountain region as part of its portfolio including Beaver Creek, Breckenridge, Copper, Keystone, Steamboat Springs and Telluride with more under contract or consideration. The Club also has accommodations in premier beachside locations such as Hawaii, Mexico and the Caribbean, and has just secured a New York City residence that will be available in the fall of 2006.

Presently, High Country Club is expanding its regional approach to the most coveted California vacation spots such as La Costa, Mammoth and Palm Springs. From there, the Club will broaden its destinations to regions throughout the U.S. southeast, northeast and northwest. All members have access to all Club properties.

“We offer the perfect alternative for those who want an easier, more hassle-free way to vacation. Our annual dues are on par with what people are already spending for yearly family vacations,” said Christian Kirschner, President of High Country Club. “We’re excited that people are receptive to our business model. It gives them a lot of options for weekend trips or international travel. To keep up with demand and maintain the utmost in accessibility for our members, we’re adding seven properties, currently under contract, to our growing portfolio of destinations.”
