Dream Catcher Retreats Enters U.K. Market

Date: October 6, 2005

Leading Destination Club Opens First International Office in London

Having quickly established itself as a leading luxury destination club within the United States, Dream Catcher Retreats has taken its first step toward global expansion and opened its first international office in London, England. Extending the club’s reach to include travelers within the United Kingdom, the new office, which opened on September 1, 2005, will also provide Dream Catcher with entry into the rest of Europe.

“Destination clubs have quickly become popular in the U.S. In just a year, Dream Catcher has grown its membership to include more than 62 members and we will have 20 homes available by the end of 2005,” said Scott Anderson, CEO Dream Catcher Retreats. “Based on the category’s rapid and steady growth in the U.S. it seems only natural to introduce this new form of travel to travelers in other countries such as the U.K. With Dream Catcher’s U.S. expansion plans steadily underway, now is the ideal time for us to branch out to other parts of the world.”

With its entry into the U.K., Dream Catcher has already signed its first European member and is quickly moving to open new homes in resort destinations that highly appeal to both U.K. travelers as well as Americans. Locations on the horizon include London, the south of France, Tuscany, Portugal, Chamonix and South Africa.

Headed by Dream Catcher Retreats’ managing director, Melvin Thomas, the London office is also staffed by two membership directors, Mehul Bakrania and Ian Gardiner. Initially Dream Catcher will focus on membership within the U.K. and slowly expand its efforts to other European nations.

“We are confident that Dream Catcher will excel in the U.K. Destination clubs are relatively unknown in Europe, so it will be exciting to educate travelers here about the concept,” says Thomas. “We see the U.K. as having great potential and travelers in this market being extremely interested in membership.”

Dream Catcher Retreats’ London office is located at 33 St James’s Square, London, SW1Y 4JS. To contact the office you may call +44 (0) 20 7661 9313.
