Premier Destinations Membership Pricing
One of the more expensive options in the destination club industry, Premier Destinations by Anne Sebastian would launch their destination club during the peak era of the destination club industry.
Launched alongside notable clubs such as Quintess, Dream Catcher, and Ultimate Resort, Premier Destinations would note the cost savings their club offered compared to other vacation options.
"For much less money, you have access to more than sixty second homes and none of the maintenance hassles involved in owning a vacation home and caring for it long-distance. Unlike traditional timeshares, you may go as often and where ever you like. And every time you arrive at a Premier Destinations home, there is a familiarity and an expected casual elegance instead of unpleasant surprises often associated with rentals. The cost of a two week rental is usually more than the annual dues that allow you to travel for fifty more weeks each year."
"Anne Sebastian's Premier Destinations takes great pride in being a leader in this phenomenal industry in services provided and in the stability and strength of our financial model. We welcome you to compare and challenge you to find another club that offers everything we do!"
The young club would never reach their 60 property goal, and while many of the clubs that launched during the same time as Premier Destinations enjoyed a great deal of success, Premier failed to capture a dominant portion of the market share.
By 2007, the club had ceased operations, likely with just a small group of members.
Prior to their closure, Premier Destinations offered two different membership options, each available for approximately $500,000.
Individual
The primary option for Premiere members, Individual Membership provided 56 "free" nights of access each year to the club's properties. Once a member exceeded their 56 night capacity, they would be required to pay a $200 per night fee.
The total membership cost at the Individual level was $490,000, composed of two different portions that would deal with the refundability of the membership. A membership deposit of $416,500 was 100% fully refundable at the then current market rates if a member elected to resign their membership. This type of structure allows members the opportunity to receive more from the club than they originally paid to join.
The remaining $73,500 was considered a "registration fee" that the club would use to purchase vehicles for properties and other club costs, including the creation of a "reserve account." For each new member, a portion of the membership fee would be added to the reserve account to refund members on a zero in, one out basis.
Corporate
The full description of the Corporate Membership offering disclosed by Premier Destinations was "Corporate memberships are available for a 40% surcharge and are limited to 56 days use and restricted on holiday usage."
