Premier Destinations
Membership Plans

One of the many clubs to launch during the boom period for the destination club industry of 2005 and 2006, Premier Destinations would take their experience from Abercrombie & Kent Destinations in the design of their club.

The young club would market their club primarily around unsurpassed vacation experiences in addition to a host of other membership benefits, including:

  • Travel planning for Premier Destinations and non-Premier Destinations vacations
  • Online antique store
  • Online artwort and sculpture gallery
  • Private label wines
  • Spa products
  • GH Holmes Collection of custom furnishings

Like most destination clubs, Premier Destinations would offer Individual and Corporate Memberships.

Individual

Created for families, the Premiere Destinations Individual Membership provided members with 56 "free" nights of access each year at club residences. If a member wished to travel beyond the 56 night capacity, they would be required to pay a $200 per night fee.

Members paid a $490,000 membership fee to join the destination club, divided into two separate components. The membership deposit of $416,500 was 100% fully refundable if a member elected to leave the club, at the then prevailing market rate, allowing members the opportunity to receive more from the club than they originally paid to join.

The remaining $73,500 was considered a "registration fee" that the club would use to purchase vehicles for properties and other club costs, including the creation of a "reserve account." For each new member, a portion of the membership fee would be added to the reserve account to refund members on a zero in, one out basis.

Members paid $19,600 per year in annual dues. As part of the Charter Membership offer, early adopters would never have their annual dues increased.

Corporate

The full description of the Corporate Membership offering disclosed by Premier Destinations was "Corporate memberships are available for a 40% surcharge and are limited to 56 days use and restricted on holiday usage."

Unlike Individual Memberships, Corporate Memberships allow the primary member to allow access rights to whomever they wish. Most of these memberships are purchased to incent employees, reward venders, or secure new clients.

Premiere Destinations was never able to make it past their Charter Membership offer and in 2007, the club quietly closed, likely with few members to their name.
