Paradise Destination Club Membership Pricing
Comparing themselves as a favorable option over leading destination clubs such as Exclusive Resorts and Private Escapes, Paradise Destination Club would structure their club around financial stability.
Paradise Destination Club would prominently display the fact that all of their properties were owned debt free with zero monthly mortgage payments. None of the properties would ever be leased or rented and the only indebtedness would be upkeep on the residences, which Paradise proudly stated "is more than 100% covered by the annual dues."
Upon further review, it appears that Paradise Destination Club functioned more like a property exchange where members would make their own vacation home available to the club in exchange for access to other member's vacation residences.
This type of club structure has been debated as to whether or not it fits the rather broad defination of what is a destination club.
The small club did no marketing, press releases, or news releases and subsequently became one of the most unknown clubs in the history of the sector. With the lack of knowledge of the club, Paradise never managed to achieve adequate interest in their club. Repeated calls and inquiries to the club have not been returned, but the club's skeletal website still remains active. Similar clubs such as Legacy Luxury have used similar structures and also failed to generate interest to continue.
During their tenure, the Paradise Destination Club would offer two different membership plans, each under $100,000 to join.
Gold "Lifetime" Membership
The entry level membership within the club, Gold Memberships were available for $49,995 during the Charter Membership phase with plans to increase to $59,995 upon conclusion. Members received 20 nights of base plan access with the ability to travel on a space available basis within 30 nights for $250 per night. Members could redeem their membership for 100% of their original deposit on a two in, one out policy.
Unlike the Platinum level, Gold members were required to be in residence while the membership was used.
Platinum "Lifetime" Membership
Paradise Destination Club's upper tier plan, Platinum members paid $89,995 to join, 100% of which would be refundable if a member ever elected to leave the club. Members received 40 nights of base plan access each year and could travel on an unlimited basis within 30 days or less of the reservation by paying $200 per night.
Platinum Memberships also allowed for extended family usage rights, letting the primary member's adult children or parents to use the club.
When joining a destination club still in its infancy, members can often receive preferred pricing and travel benefits at the risk of their membership deposit.
