Ultimate Resort Offer To Tanner & Haley Members

It has been a chaotic 30 days for the 874 members of Tanner & Haley. Earlier this year, Tanner & Haley filed for bankruptcy, drastically reshaping the destination club landscape. Just a short month ago, the fate of the club remained uncertain. Three weeks ago, Ultimate Resort submitted a bid to acquire the destination club giant and things became a bit more clear. Two weeks ago, ultra-luxury club Ciel submitted a last minute $108 million bid in an attempt to acquire the club and things again grew a bit less clear. Ultimately (no pun intended), the court selected Ultimate Resort as the winning bidder over Ciel, and the club has e-mailed the Tanner & Haley members with the details of their membership offering, leaving an important decision in the hands of each member.

The specifics of the Ultimate Resort offer are:

• Private Retreats members can become Bronze members, including 14 nights of access, for $10,000 per year in annual dues. Private Retreats members will be able to upgrade to any membership plan with a $35,000 credit.
• Distinctive Retreats members can become Elite Bronze members, including 14 nights of access, for $15,000 per year in annual dues. Distinctive Retreats members will be able to upgrade to any membership plan with a $70,000 credit.
• Legendary Retreats members can become Elite Platinum members, including 42 nights of access, for $30,000 per year in annual dues. Legendary Retreats members will be able to upgrade to any membership plan with a $150,000 credit.

Members will have until December 22, 2006 to make their decision.

Members who do elect to join Ultimate Resort will also have a unique redemption structure. Members who remain in good standing with the club for at least five years can cancel their membership and redeem their membership on a three in, one out basis. Members that remain with the club for five years will receive 60% of the then current value of the membership. Members who remain with the club for six years will receive 70% of the then current membership. For those who remain with the club for seven years, 80% of the then current membership will be refunded.

Ultimate Resort is expecting over 600 Tanner & Haley members to take advantage of this offer and has been fielding more than their fare share of inquiries from members looking for additional details regarding membership.
