Ultimate Escapes Members Go To The 2010 NFL Draft

Long time Ultimate Escapes member and spokesperson Steve Young won't be the only destination club member in attendance at today's 2010 NFL Draft. Ultimate Escapes members entered their names to the club prior to last Wednesday at 5:00 PM Eastern for a chance to attend the event and on Monday, Ultimate Escapes announced the winners: Kevin Dolan and Linda Mitchell.
Destination clubs and football have long had ties to one another. Exclusive Resorts and the National Football League Players Association announced a relationship in early 2006 that gave NFLPA members "a welcome retreat for well-traveled NFL players accustomed to hotel stays." Exclusive Resorts made a $25,000 charitable donation on behalf of the NFLPA and would make an additional donation for every NFLPA member that joined their luxury destination club. Super Bowl XLIV MVP Drew Brees led the way, stating "As a member of Exclusive Resorts, I know just how much other players and coaches will be amazed by the Exclusive Resorts vacation experience. With my work with the Brees Dream Foundation trying to fight cancer and improve the lives of cancer patients, I'm especially proud to be part of two organizations with such a strong commitment to giving back and making a difference in the lives of others."

This is the second notable football event with Ultimate Escapes in the past several months. In February, Ultimate Escapes donated two Super Bowl tickets in their "Ultimate Escapes Haiti Relief VIP Super Bowl Package Charity Auction." The winning bidder received two tickets to the Super Bowl, two tickets to the NFL Sponsored Party where The Steve Miller Band performed, and a three day/two night stay at Marriott's Villas at Doral. Proceeds from the auction went towards the relief efforts in Haiti.
