Whether it be the rolling hills of Tuscany or the white sand beaches of the Caribbean, destination club members have some of the most memorable views the world has to offer. Last night, fireworks rang out across the United States to celebrate the Fourth of July and lucky members of many of the world's biggest clubs got to view the light shows without ever having to leave their vacation home.
Members of Exclusive Resorts, the world's largest destination club with nearly 400 residences, enjoyed scenic fireworks displays in Chicago, San Francisco, Miami, Carnegie Abbey, and Beaver Creek amongst others from their porches and living rooms while traveling with the club. Ultimate Escapes, Abercrombie & Kent Residence Club, Quintess, and others all gave the same to members from some of America's favorite summer getaways.
One of the most popular travel periods of the year, the Fourth of July is near universally classified as "peak season travel" The way that peak season travel is handled varies from club to club, ranging from points based systems where more points are required for holiday travel to lotteries and everything in between.
Each of the holiday models used across the destination club industry have their own distinct benefits and drawbacks. Finding the one that is most in line with your travel patterns should be one of the many metrics that you should consider when evaluating a club.
