The Tour Club Reveals 2011 Calendar
By: Destination Club News Date: February 9, 2011
Winter still envelopes most of the United States, but that doesn't mean that golf isn't on the minds of luxury travelers looking to get out to the links. The TOUR Club, the golf focused destination club from Club Holdings, has announced some of their 2011 calendar, blending multiple extraordinary golf experiences with celebrity events and other sporting activities off the greens and fairways.
The Masters is one of the few tournaments that truly capture the attention of those inside and outside the golf community. Held annually at the famous Augusta National Golf Club in Augusta, Georgia, the invitational event is the year's first major and counts Jack Nicklaus, Tiger Woods, Gary Player, Sam Snead, and other golf immortals as champions. Members of the PGA TOUR Club will get the full "green jacket" experience at the 2011 tournament, receiving a tournament badge, daily proprietary seating, off-course hospitality, and an exclusive dinner and celebrity appearance at Sage Valley Shooting Lodge.
The Players Championship in May has the largest purse for the Tour and is the unofficial fifth major as the world's best gather in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida. The Island Green on the Stadium Course's 17th hole is one of the most famed in golf, providing many moments of sheer bliss and utter despair over the years, making every stroke a must see event. TOUR Club members will enjoy VIP Hospitality and Clubhouse access, multi-venue badges, and be able to tour the Golf Channel production trailer and set, dine with a tournament official, private chef, or Golf Channel personality.
Away from the world of golf, members can attend award shows such as the Emmy or ESPY Awards, with VIP passes, deluxe hotel accommodations, restaurant reservations, dining provided by a private chef, and 24 hour concierge service. For younger members, the Nickelodeon's Kid's Choice Awards always include performances by popular acts and appearances by various stars.
The roar of screaming fans and high octane vehicles at the Daytona 500 may be far from the more gentlemanly golf, but TOUR Club members can also attend the popular NASCAR event this month, with exclusive seating, pit passes, a behind the scenes media experience, breakfast with a NASCAR driver, invitations to a pre-race driver's meeting, and more.
In June, the World Series is available to members. VIP hospitality backstage passes giving pre-game tours of a locker room and dugout will assure that the game will never look the same.
Throughout the year, members of the experience based destination club can also schedule deer, pheasant, or elk hunts, fly fish popular streams, or several other non-date-specific activities.
Members of Quintess and DUO by Quintess also have access to The TOUR Club as all three are part of Club Holdings. Just after DUO launched, it unveiled a special promotion that would give new members 10 nights of access in TOUR Club residences for $12,000.
