By: Destination Club News Date: December 1, 2009
With the 2009 Luxury Travel Expo underway, the Presnell Sporting Collection has announced that they will introduce a new pricing and payment options to attendees.
Like a destination club, the Presnell Sporting Collection offers members a portfolio of luxury vacation options but with a focus on the sportsmen audience. Amongst the club’s collection of experiences include:
- Bill Fishing in Guatemala
- Hunting Red Stag in New Zealand
- Game Hunting on the African Plains
- Fishing for Waterfowl in Alberta
- Dove Hunting in Argentina
- Salmon Fishing in British Columbia
- Quail Shooting in Georgia
Members can also use up to 30% of their travel benefits to travel within The Registry Collection as part of their membership.
Based on the membership plan selected, members receive an annual allotment of “Sporting Privileges” that are used to make reservations, similar to options at the Ritz-Carlton Destination Club or The Discovery Club. Currently, the Presnell Sporting Collection offers four different membership options, increasing by 100,000 annual points. At present, members pay between $62,500 and $249,000 to join.
"[Luxury Travel Expo 2009] is the ideal place to expose our membership program’s flexible payment options and plethora of membership offerings," said Sean Finley, the Presnell Sporting Collection’s Vice President of Member Concierge Services.
In 2009, many destination clubs have introduced new payment options including trial memberships, deferred payments, and several other unique structures to ease entry.
The Presnell Sporting Collection is one of the latest themed destination clubs, joining clubs like Moncasa Private Club Residences who focuses exclusively on the Caribbean and Golden Years Holidays who crafts their offering for retirees. As the financial markets begin to recover, the majority of new destination clubs that we are contact with are modeling their clubs around more all encompassing structures, primarily with an equity focus. In the near future, expect a temporary moratorium on these specialty destination clubs until the sector begins to show greater signs of recovery.
