The Phoenix Club Responds To Kirschner Management Claim
By: Destination Club News Date: October 26, 2009
In one of the more light-hearted news items to emerge in the destination club industry over the past several months, The Phoenix Club, a new destination club planning to rise from the ashes of the High Country Club bankruptcy, has reached out to their potential clients to confirm that Christian and Heath Kirschner are not a part of their management team as a recent e-mail communication stated.
Earlier in the month, a message was sent to former High Country Club members stating "For those of you considering joining up with Pheonix (sic) Properties, I have an exciting announcement. We have persuaded the original experts in vacations to join our management team. That's right, we have just now added two outstanding people to our management team: Christian Kirschner and Heath Kirschener (sic)."
The message would go on to state "As always, though, quality has its price. We are now forced to increase all the prices in our previously issued schedule. All weekly rates are hereby increased by 50%. This is quite a bargain for prospective members, considering how much these two men will add to the value of your vacations."
The laughable claim warranted an official response from The Phoenix Club to confirm that neither Christian or Heath or even the unnamed Casey Kirschner, all former executives at High Country Club, are a part of the new destination club.
Written by Thomas Quinn, the lawyer representing The Phoenix Club, the letter in part would read: Dear High Country Club Member,
I am a bankruptcy attorney that represents the Phoenix Club, LLC. We are preparing a reorganization plan to form a new club using the same properties and members of the bankrupt High Country Club. As a member of HCC, you can join the Phoenix Club at no charge and get the first rights to make reservations at the properties.
Recently you may have received an e-mail stating that Christian Kirschner and Heath Kirschner have become part of our management team. The e-mail is a hoax and/or a joke. There is no one from the Kirschner family that is in any part of the new Phoenix Club.
According to the letter, "many HCC members have joined the Phoenix Club," but the club will need approximately 200 total members to make four weeks of annual reservations to be a viable option. Paragon Destinations is another destination club looking to emerge from the downfall of High Country Club and we have been in contact with at least one other upstart destination club looking to throw their name into the hat.
Check back frequently for more news on all of these clubs and if you would like to provide any tips or additional information, please feel free to contact us at contribute@destinationclubnews.com.
Editors Note: No Kirschner brothers are a part of Destination Club News either.
