By: Destination Club News Date: July 14, 2010
The PGA Tour Club, one of the newest players in the destination club industry, has announced the introduction of their seventh destination: CordeValle in San Martin, California, one of the nation's most acclaimed golf retreats.
Recognized by Condé Naste Traveler, Golf Magazine, and Golf Digest in each publications' best of lists, CordeValle was designed by Robert Trent Jones, Jr., bringing the land's natural canyons, meadows, and streams into the course's layout. The open 7,169 yard, par 72 course is widely considered the famed architect's greatest masterpiece, capable of stymieing the most elite professionals or pleasing the weekend amateur based on the tee box selected. Surrounded by more than 1,000 unencumbered acres, CordeValle spans 270 acres itself and is known for its meticulous tournament level conditioning year round and will be the site of the 2011 PGA Cup.
Members will have two different options while in San Martin, staying in either The Fairway Homes or The Bungalows. Located on the course, The Fairway Homes are up to 3,100 square feet and include two bedrooms, each with king-size beds. For an additional cost and based on availability, three and four bedroom residences are also available. The Bungalows are found on a hillside overlooking the ninth fairway and also include two bedrooms, but are a more intimate 750 square feet and include a fireplace and private garden.
Competing with The Markers Club as the premier golf themed destination club, The PGA Tour Club now includes popular golf destinations such as Pronghorn in Bend, Oregon; TPC Jasna Polana in Princeton, New Jersey; and the Atlanta National Golf Club in Georgia. As part of the Quintess, LRW family, members of The PGA Tour Club have reciprocal access to the collection of $4 million vacation properties in the Quintess portfolio.
Despite being one of the younger clubs in the destination club sector, The PGA Tour Club gives members access to over 40 destinations between their stable of own residences and those available through their relationship with Quintess.
