The Markers Club and Destination Cellars Partner
By: Destination Club News Date: February 3, 2010
Two niche destination clubs have formed an alliance, combining the worlds of golf and wine. The Markers Club launched as the first destination club dedicated to giving members luxurious experiences in some of golf's most highly sought after locations. Destination Cellars was created to "provide wine, food and travel enthusiasts exclusive and personalized access to the most prestigious and exclusive vineyards and winery properties around the world."
While still focused on golf, The Markers Club has recently expanded their reach to include other family activities with the creation of The Markers Tennis Academy and The Markers Club Ultimate Sports Experience. "We are focusing now on the full lifestyle," President and CEO Michael Broussard told us last year. "Golf is still a huge priority for us, but in addition to golf, we are offering tennis academies and will be a full service destination club focusing on the family lifestyle. We are developing multi-site destinations that will cater more towards families so that we can accommodate more people throughout the year."
Destination Cellars already has an established relationship with Exclusive Resorts, the world's largest destination club. It addition, Destination Cellars Founder and CEO David Keuhner let us know that they will soon be announcing another relationship with one of the destination club industry's most popular clubs in the near future.
Through this new alliance, members of The Markers Club will be able to access the amenities available through Destination Cellars, including:
- Ordering wines
- Private winery tours
- Wine tastings
- Cooking lessons
- Catered events
The alliance between The Markers Club and Destinations Cellars is just the latest of a growing list of partnerships between destination clubs. The Hideaways Club has recently partnered with both Equity Estates and Banyan Tree Private Collection, expanding the total number of properties available for members of all three clubs. Quintess and The Oyster Circle announced a partnership a year ago and are presently working on continuing that agreement.
