The Hideaways Club Adds Villa In Phuket
Date: November 4, 2009
The Hideaways Club, one of Europe's leading destination clubs, has announced the introduction of Villa Layan, a near 3,000 square foot villa in the popular Phuket, Thailand.
Situated on the north end of Thailand's largest island, Villa Layan is situated on a 6,500 square foot lot with four air conditioned double bedrooms with room for up to 10 guests. The villa features a large kitchen with breakfast area, cinema room with the new Nintendo Wii addition, kid's play room, and gated entrance with separate staff quarters.
Outside, members enjoy a 65 foot pool with a surrounding sun deck, gardens, and barbeque area with a dining table and bar.
From the service side of the equation, a full time maid is available to cook, clean, and baby-sit as needed and a driver and Ssangyong Stavic vehicle is available to members, capable of seating up to 11 passengers. Ideally located, members are just a short drive from four stunning golf courses, untouched beaches, authentic restaurants, and other local attractions. Members can arrange to go elephant trekking, river rafting, sea kayaking, rock climbing, biking, or parasailing. The Hideaways Club's Villa Layan also features a 34' Searay Powerboat that can seats up to six to explore the many neighboring islands.
The Hideaways Club holds one of the most diverse real estate collections in the destination club industry, with properties in France, Spain, Italy, Turkey, Switzerland, South Africa, and Bali to name but a few. In the future, The Hideaways Club is planning on expanding with residences in the Greek Islands, Ibiza, Barcelona, and Austria.
The European destination club market has been a bright spot for the industry this year, with The Oyster Circle, an Ireland based club, announcing a partnership with the US based Quintess, LRW, effectively creating a property portfolio of nearly 100 luxury vacation homes available to members. Rocksure Property has continued their growth through a solid financial business model and magnificent properties in Portugal, Croatia, and Beaver Creek amongst others while The Hideaways Club has added properties in South Africa, Crotia, and Sotogrande in recent months.
As opposed to the more traditional destination club model used in the US, the vast majority of European based clubs tie ownership in the club or its properties into the membership. A growing number of clubs based in America follow a similar structure, including Equity Estates and the Abercrombie & Kent Residence Club.
