Steve Young Adds Another Destination Club To Forever Young Foundation
Date: September 7, 2009
Now a seasoned veteran in the destination club industry, Steve Young is now playing for two clubs in the small sector: Ultimate Escapes and The Markers Club.
In February of 2005, Young joined Private Escapes Platinum, just months before his induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. "My family and I were looking for a travel option that fit our needs – we’re very active and love exploring new areas – Private Escapes Destination Clubs fit the bill perfectly because of its residences all over the world and stellar locations," said Young. "We debated between buying another vacation home but this option was far too limiting — my family wants to travel where they want, when they want. Private Escapes Destination Clubs has a track record of success, and I know their homes will provide locations and experiences that will create wonderful memories for my wife and my sons."
Still a member with Ultimate Escapes after the merger of Private Escapes and Ultimate Resort, Young is expanding his reach within the destination club industry and his Forever Young Foundation is now sponsored by The Markers Club for the Steve Young/Jerry Rice Bay Area Classic on October 21, 2009
The Markers Club, like both Private Escapes and Ultimate Resort, was an early entrant into the destination club sector. Unlike the other two clubs who offered members a broad assortment of vacation properties, including beach, ski, and urban getaways, The Markers Club was focused solely on world class golf experiences. Members have access to famed courses in Scottsdale, Cabo San Lucas, St. Andrews, Amelia Island, and others.
The Steve Young/Jerry Rice Bay Area Classic Tournament will raise funds that will contribute to both the Forever Young Foundation and The Tech Museum of Innovation.
Forever Young was founded in 1993 and focuses on "passing on hope and resources for the development, strength, and education of children."
Joining The Markers Club, the Forever Young Foundation counts the National Football League, US Airways, and many other notable organizations. Kicking off on October 21, the day will start at 11:00 a.m. with a lunch and registration, followed by a golf clinic by Johnny Miller.
Now with two destination club associations under his belt, the next question is which club is Steve going to try to convince Jerry to join?
