Exclusive Resorts' majority owner and Chairman Steve Case has taken time out of his busy schedule to reach out to members of his luxury destination club to wish them all a happy holiday season.

Dear Members:

Steve_Case_Headshot.jpgIt's hard to believe that the holiday season is already upon us. I'm hopeful that we'll all have a little time to reflect on the past year, consider what the future may hold, and, most importantly, gather with our families and loved ones to enjoy time together.

As I think about the last 12 months, I am grateful for how far Exclusive Resorts has come. With your help, we were able to navigate a very challenging year, and emerge stronger. Indeed, I am confident we have charted a course that positions the club for a bright future.

With a stable financial foundation now in place, Exclusive Resorts is able to devote its full time and attention to what it does best: creating awesome vacation experiences for each member.

I look forward to being more personally involved in guiding the club over the coming years. One thing that is clear to me is how much Exclusive Resorts has to be thankful for this holiday season — our passionate members who make the club better every day and our employees who tirelessly work to make your next vacation even more special than the last.

From all of us at Exclusive Resorts, we wish all of you a memorable holiday season wherever your celebrations may take you.

Happy Holidays and Happy New Year!

Chairman

In May of 2003, just a few short months after Exclusive Resorts had sold their inaugural membership, Steve Case, the Co-Founder and former CEO and Chairman of America Online, stumbled upon the new luxury travel option and requested additional information, complete with an AOL e-mail address. Co-Founder Brent Handler would handle the request personally and within days the two would be meeting in San Diego working on a deal that would make Case a 50% owner of the club.

Since that day, Exclusive Resorts has gone on to dominate the destination club market with approximately 3,500 members and $1 billion in real estate holdings.

As mentioned by Case, 2009 was a challenging year for the destination club sector with leading clubs High Country Club, The LUSSO Collection, and Solstice Collection all filing for bankruptcy. Exclusive Resorts has recently begun a two year process that will make the club sustainable solely on membership dues and fees by 2011.

Exclusive Resorts is currently closing in on their 100,000th executed trip and have big plans over the next several years to secure their position as the world's largest destination club. Check back frequenly for more news on Exclusive Resorts and all of the other leading clubs in the industry and as stated by Case, "Happy Holidays and Happy New Year!"
