On August 14 and 15, the fishing focused destination club Spring Ridge Club will host a half-dozen military personnel wounded in service on Spruce Creek. The former soldiers will enjoy fly fishing alongside guides and a night at Camp Little J.

Project Healing WatersThe club currently counts 78 members and is asking all to help contribute however they can, whether it be meals, transportation, or simply stopping by and participating.

Featured in several media outlets, including ESPN, Project Healing Waters was created by Captain Ed Nicholson. According to the organization's mission statement, Project Healing Waters "serves military personnel who have been wounded, injured, or disabled to aid their physical and emotional recovery by introducing or rebuilding the skills of fly fishing and fly tying and by using and enjoying these skills on fishing outings and as lifelong recreation."

In addition to the club's efforts to support such a worthwhile cause, Donny Beaver is also planning for an exciting Spring in a brief letter to members.

It feels like spring here today, and I’m looking forward to getting out on the stream with our Club members very soon. It’s going to be a great season this year. We’re looking at more new waters, our membership numbers are up, and Alpine River Club is getting off to a running start. This club is already great, but it is you who will make it greater. We want you to tell us what you think—how we can improve the services we already provide.
