Simplicity International Hires John Schopfer

Simplicity International, an as yet unlaunched destination club, has appointed John Schopfer to serve as Chief Operating Officer and President.

"We have spent the last year and a half fine tuning our product and with this addition are now in a position to fully launch into the marketplace," said Chairman and CEO Jeffrey Tallman. "John Schopfer brings us 20 years of resort real estate and vacation club experience in major North American and International markets and will lead us in an aggressive growth campaign as President and COO of Simplicity."

Since 1998, Schopfer has focused on the private residence club industry and founded Resort Capital Resources, Inc. and CLUBworks International, described as "resort development services firms specializing in product development, financing, project start-up and marketing and sales of high-end resort real estate and private clubs."

Details regarding the new destination club have yet to fully emerge as the club has not yet formally launched, but some information has been at least hinted at. Based out of Southport, Connecticut, it appears that Simplicity International will have both a regional and worldwide destinations, indicating that the club will likely focus on a specific area at launch and expand further once a core group of members is acquired. According to the club, "each home is a fine example of local architecture and craftsmanship and features meticulously designed interiors with the highest-quality furniture and fixtures."
