Second Home Destinations, a new economically priced destination club with memberships available for as little as $10,000, is looking to expand their property roster by reaching out to second home owners who may be interested in leasing their residence to the club. While the club focuses primarily on properties in the sub-million dollar price range, Second Home Destinations will evaluate nearly any property that meets their standards and has already brought on multiple residences outside of this price point and is seeking properties anywhere from $650,000 all the way up to $10 million.

Second Home Destinations MalibuFor example, the club's beachfront estate on a bluff in Malibu features a sunken tennis court, ten-person hot tub, pool with waterfall fountain, and direct access to Zuma Beach via a wooden staircase with one main house and two guest homes. How the club adds such lavish properties to their portfolio is through their points based reservation system. While many of the club's residences are available for between 200 and 500 points per night, Malibu requires 5,000 points per night. With each property having its own affixed per night point total, Second Home Destinations is able to add residences at multiple price points by altering the per night point costs to align with the home value.

"At Second Home, we strive to be the best travel club, not necessarily the biggest. Our number one asset is our members, without them we don't have a club. We are not launching with aggressive dollars, aggressive marketing, or aggressive sales tactics," said Second Home Destinations' Vice President of Sales. "In fact Second Home hasn't started marketing to the public just yet! Why? After so many clubs have failed over the past several years, SHD is only marketing to past club members in hopes to provide trust in travel again. SHD hopes to provide security for our member's investment. SHD hopes to provide a non-pressure environment where members can explore travel experiences they will talk about to their friends, an environment where members have a personal relationship with the SHD team; where members can offer suggestions and feel a part of the SHD team."

Each potential contract is dependent upon the desires of the homeowners. Most of the home owners who have placed their properties in the portfolio already have an agreement with the club where they "profit accordingly" based on member usage, but Second Home Destinations disclosed that they would allow contributing homeowners the ability to exchange their property for member usage privileges. Homeowners placing their property into the club also can set which nights are available to members, allowing them to capitalize on dates they know they will not be in residence.
