Just in time for the 2010 ski season, the Ritz-Carlton Destination Club has unveiled their newest destination in Vail, Colorado, the tenth location for the club, giving members access to over 5,000 acres of land and an average of 350 inches of pristine snow per year.

Ritz-Carlton Destination Club - Vail, ColoradoSituated at the base of Vail Mountain in LionsHead Village, two, three, and four bedroom residences are available through the club's Home Club Membership. Floor plans for the properties range from approximately 1,300 to 2,874 square feet and each unit includes fully-equipped kitchens, hardwood flooring in living areas, contemporary room finishes and more.

Members will enjoy twice daily housekeeping services, an outdoor heated pool and whirlpool spa, heated underground garage with valet parking, and even a ski valet and ski nanny.

"The Ritz-Carlton Club, Vail is a spectacular addition to the brand's two existing Colorado mountain resorts in Bachelor Gulch and Aspen Highlands," said Peter J. Watzka, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for The Ritz-Carlton Development Company, Inc. "Our members have shared with us their desire to be in this exceptional location, and we are excited to bring it to them."

While the conclusion of 2010 will be known for contraction following the bankruptcy at Ultimate Escapes, the destination club industry is seeing some expansion as the year comes to an end. Second Home Destinations, a new club marketing to the former members of Ultimate Escapes, has announced the introduction of five new properties to their collection. Equity Estates has added ski and beach destinations to their roster in recent weeks in Snowmass and Anguilla. Just this past weekend, Exclusive Resorts opened Steamboat Springs to members, giving members five new ski-in, ski-out properties and bringing the Exclusive Resorts collection of ski destinations to nine. The addition of Vail by the Ritz-Carlton Destination Club is just the latest.

Like many other destination clubs, Ritz-Carlton has crafted a special promotion for new members. Those that join prior to the end of the year will enjoy seven nights of free access to club residences during 2011. That new incentive was joined by a partnership with the Abercrombie & Kent Residence Club, giving members additional vacation options.
