Private Retreats by Abercrombie & Kent Reaches 320 Members

Less than 24 hours after Exclusive Resorts announced that they had acquired their first 100 members, Private Retreats by Abercrombie & Kent has sent out their own press release stating that they are now over the 320 membership mark and are closing in on their capacity of 400 total members. Not so subtle.

There does appear to be much in common with Private Retreats 320 announcement and Exclusive Resorts first 100 members.

According to Private Retreats Executive Vice President Tom Fulton, "We began with a handful of members from a few states - to see that we now have over 320 members from across the United States is very exciting. At this pace, this club will be sold out by year end."

Exclusive Resorts is finding a similar level of expanding interest, including the club's first international member as part of their original 100. And this growing interest is paying off for both in the form of new membership sales. Exclusive Resorts reached the 70 member mark in July and has acquired 30 new members over the past two months to reach the century mark while Private Retreats by Abercrombie & Kent has averaged "approximately 20 new members per month."

"This pace of new membership sales we are seeing now will require us to purchase around 15 additional properties," said Private Retreats CEO Rob McGrath. "With many of these properties already under contract, our members will have access to over 70 properties worldwide."

These 15 new properties will join an already substantial destination list that includes Deer Valley, Cabo San Lucas, Scottsdale, the Dominican Republic, and the Outer Banks amongst others. Private Retreats is currently targeting properties in Naples, Palm Springs, New York City, and the Bahamas.

Congratulations to both Private Retreats by Abercrombie & Kent and Exclusive Resorts for achieving these two benchmarks. With Exclusive Resorts averaging 400 new inquiries per week and Private Retreats bringing in 20 new members a month, it doesn't appear that either have any plans to slowdown anytime soon.
