Private Escapes Continues Growth
By: Destination Club News Date: June 10, 2004
Launched earlier this year, Private Escapes is posting solid gains in both new membership sales and real estate growth as the industry's first affordable destination club.
"The reception of Private Escapes as the affordable, luxury destination club option has been tremendous - we have captured a unique, financially sound niche without compromising quality for our members," said Richard Keith, the club's President and Co-Founder. "Our growing property base has allowed us to acquire exceptional properties at a rate of one property per six members, and our members really enjoy the benefit of contributing input on future destination locations worldwide."
The young destination club now includes residences in New York City, New York; Red Feather Lakes, Colorado; Lake Las Vegas, Nevada; Steamboat Springs, Colorado; Los Cabos, Mexico; Lake Tahoe; Nevada; and Kiawah Island, South Carolina.
"We have hand picked each of our growing cache of properties and custom outfitted each to meet our highest standards and provide all the divine comforts of home," said Kären Siwek, Private Escapes Co-Founder and Executive Vice President of Real Estate and Finance, when the club made their public launch earlier this year. "From luxurious Stearns and Foster™ bedding and high thread count linens, to state-of-the-art appliances, electronics and five-star concierge services on-site, Private Escapes members are assured consistently outstanding amenities to make their stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible."
Capped at 400 total members, Private Escapes will ultimately include between 65 and 70 properties in approximately 25 popular destinations. These members receive unlimited and exclusive access to club properties at their leisure in addition to pre-travel planning services through the club and local hosts to assist them while they are in residence. In a survey conducted by the club earlier this year, members gave the young club a 100% satisfaction score.
Many continue to find the benefits of destination club membership, still in its infancy. As demonstrated by Private Escapes fast start, the destination club model isn't reserved for the "extremely affluent."
