The Portofino Club Gives Free Airline Miles To New Members

“We wanted to offer our newest members this gift for the season that can be used to enjoy an incredible vacation with friends, families and loved ones,” said Brian Windle, The Portofino Club’s Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing about a new promotion available to new members. Those who join the destination club before the end of the year will receive 500,000 free airline miles redeemable on US domestic air carriers.

Now with 17 properties averaging $1.7 million each, The Portofino Club lets members travel up to 42 nights per year without incurring a daily charge. For those who travel on a whim, reservations made within 30 nights of arrival do not count against the 42 night capacity, allowing for unlimited annual travel.

One of the earliest destination clubs introduced, The Portofino Club, Exclusive Resorts, and Private Retreats remain the industry’s longest tenured clubs. Exclusive Resorts and Private Retreats now total several hundred members and Portofino is looking to close the gap between their competitors.

The Portofino Club was created in 2002 over dinner by Ed Anderson and Ron Tapp, and earlier this year, the club brought on Windle to help “lead the company’s national rollout.”
