New Ultimate Escapes Members Flying High For Free
By: Destination Club News Date: October 6, 2009
Concluding a memorable month for Ultimate Escapes that included the completion of the acquisition of Private Escapes and an agreement to combine with Secure America Acquisition Corporation, the world's second largest destination club is offering new members free airfare for a year to any club residence.
Announced last week, a limited number of new members that join prior to the end of the year will be able to fly for free on the airline of their choice for their first year of their membership, up to $25,000.
"Ultimate Escapes offers the very best in vacation experiences, and our Club already takes most of the work out of planning trips," said CEO Jim Tousignant. "However, for a short time, we’re making it even easier for new members to embrace their first year of membership, with free travel for the entire family."
Ultimate Escapes is the only destination club in the industry to offer a multi-tier format with three unique clubs and property portfolios for members to consider when joining. The Premiere Club offers members access to a collection of properties averaging $1 million each, Signature boasts a portfolio of $2 million residences, and the Elite Club showcases $3 million properties available exclusively to members.
Over the years, Ultimate Escapes has offered numerous attractive incentives to new members, including a drawing for free private jet access and a complimentary stay on the club's popular yacht, La Buscadora.
With their business combination with Secure America Acquisition Corporation, Ultimate Escapes is on the brink of becoming the world's first publicly traded destination club. Earlier this year, The Markers Club, the industry's only destination club to focus primarily on luxury golf experiences, announced a "relaunch" that would include a publicly traded arm of the club, but if all goes as scheduled, Ultimate Escapes will easily edge out The Markers who have yet to make any other announcement regarding their plans.
In August, Ultimate Escapes reactivated more than 300 members from the club's suspended member list, and with the upcoming holiday and ski seasons fast approaching, the addition of the airfare promotion will likely bring in some new members who had previously been sitting on the fence looking to make last minute reservations for 2009 and early 2010 before the most popular days and properties are reserved.
