Moncasa Private Club Residences Launches To Canadian Members
By: Destination Club News Date: September 26, 2008
It is only fitting that the Canadian based Moncasa Private Club Residences, the world's first destination club to focus exclusively on the Caribbean, would announce their launch in celebration of Toronto's Caribbean Week.
"We have developed a range of high-end luxury accommodations in a variety of Caribbean countries," said John Collins, President of Moncasa Capital, the holding company of Moncasa Private Club Residences. "Through strategic alliances and a deep knowledge of local markets, Moncasa has been able to develop a collection of multi-million dollar homes, condos and villas. Each residence is of exceptional quality affording residents a lifestyle second to none. We truly are offering luxury, making vacation dreams come true. Further, each club membership deposit reflects an equity share of the real estate portfolio and its appreciation. It’s win-win for vacationers."
Ultimately, Moncasa Private Club Residences will provide members 80 properties across 50 destinations in the region, valued between $1 million and $3 million each and including studios from 800 square feet to luxury villas up to 6,000 square feet.
For their launch, Moncasa will make a limited 52 Founding Memberships available. Founders will receive special redemption rights, allowing them to choose to receive either 100% of their original deposit or 70% of the then current value of their membership if they wish to exit the club. Individual Memberships begin at $27,400 and go up to $89,000 and Corporate and Group Memberships start at $135,000.
Moncasa Private Club Residences will join M Private Residences, The Discovery Club, and fellow upstart Diamante Residences as the most notable Canadian destination clubs. In the coming months, Moncasa Private Club Residences is planning on making their introduction to the US market.
Joining a new destination club does have its advantages. As demonstrated by the Canadian launch of Moncasa Private Club Residences, preferential pricing and redemption policies are often available as well as direct access to the club's executive team, letting early adopters contribute to the club's growth and vision. On the other side of the coin, if the club isn't able to recruit additional members, the security of the founding members' refundable membership deposits may be at risk.
