Moncasa Private Club Residences Adds Destination Club Veteran To Advisory Board
By: Destination Club News Date: February 3, 2009
Starting a destination club is no easy matter. Executives must choose an attractive membership structure that entices members, but still makes the bottomline work. Property portfolio. Usage structures. Rules and regulations. The near endless list of the minute details required to successfully launch a club can seem daunting, but Moncasa Private Club Residences has included one of the most seasoned destination club employees to their advisory board, Christine Frost.
Frost was one of the first employees at Private Retreats and remained with the club as they transitioned to Abercrombie & Kent Destinations and finally to Tanner & Haley Destination Club after the A&K brand was taken away.
"Working on the founding team in a 'proof of concept' stage of industry maturation, Chris collaborated on the company's development in policies, operations, sales and marketing, branding and mareky positioning through its public launch and over the course of its exponential growth in the years to come," Moncasa's website state.
Not only did Frost assist in the growth of Private Retreats, but also was crucial in the launch of the second offering within the club, Distinctive Retreats. Not content to exist in the background of the industry, Frost also co-founded her own destination club, My Global Playground.
Joining Frost on Moncasa Private Club Residences' Board is Brent Babcock and Jeff MacInnis. Babcock was formerly the President and Chief Operating Officer of Etherington's, a wealth management firm that combines financial planning with philanthropy. Previously, he also served as Vice President with Balanced Planning Financial Group. In addition to serving on Moncasa Private Club Residences' Board, Babcock also serves as President of Babcock Agencies, Inc. where he works in business development for select firms in the financial services sector. While Babcock has experience in the boardroom, MacInnis has experience everywhere outside of the office. A best selling author and award winning skier, MacInnis led the first team to sail the Northwest Passage. The 100 day journey covered nearly 2,500 miles and is known to have claimed more lives than Mount Everest. An equal opportunity adventurer, he has also trekked across rainforests, caves, and coral reefs. Taking this worldwide experience to the club, MacInnis will help assist members in crafting their own unique adventures when staying with Moncasa. Although members and MacInnis probably define "adventure" a bit differently, his experience will be a welcome addition to the club.
As Founders John Collins and Michael Crunkhorn ramp up the launch of their new club, surrounding themselves with experts such as Frost, Babcock, and MacInnis may prove to be the easiest decision the pair have to make out of the thousands that are still left ahead of them.
