M Private Residences Passes 100 Members

Canada's first destination club, M Private Residences, has surpassed the 100 member threshold with nearly 50% of their on-going membership sales coming from member referrals. Closing in on their second anniversary, the club currently has 84 "full" members who purchased Share A Memberships with the remaining having purchased Share B Memberships.

In an industry where new clubs emerge and vanish with regularity, the 100 member barrier is a notable accomplishment and M Private Residences continues to use the traction they gained in 2006 for the new year. Last year, M Private Residences added properties in:

  • Cabo San Lucas, Mexico
  • London, England
  • Paradise Valley, Arizona
  • Rancho Mirage, California
  • New York City, New York
  • Barbados, British West Indies

This year, M Private Residences has continued their property acquisition schedule with additions in Las Vegas, Whistler, and France. Not only do members have exclusive access to these club properties, but M Private Residences encourages members to participate in their interactive on-line blog, M Talk. Members can post their favorite local restaurants, nearby attractions, and comments on their experience at each residence so other members can better enjoy every vacation. As demonstrated by their high referral numbers, this interaction between members and management has bolstered the club's satisfaction scores in addition to adding to the service levels.

With the Tanner & Haley bankruptcy filing already nearly a year removed, destination clubs and prospects have grown increasingly aware of the financial elements of club membership. "Buying into M Private Residences is not like joining an exclusive club, rather it is ownership," writes member Brad Purdy.
