M Private Residences 2006 Recap

As a productive year at Canada's largest destination club comes to an end, we thought we would recount the year for M Private Residences, namely the club's real estate acquisitions.

In February, the Calgary based club added two new properties to the portfolio in the always popular Cabo San Lucas. Just over a half hour away from the Los Cabos International Airport and adjacent to the Esperanza Resort and Spa, both of the 3,000 square foot residences showcase a three bedroom, three and one half bath configuration, complete with gourmet kitchens and private balconies.

By May, the club was again expanding internationally with the addition of a suite in the heart of London's Victoria District. Within walking distance of Westminster Abbey, Buckingham Palace, Big Ben, and Parliament, the intimate 1,212 square foot suite resides on the seventh floor, providing majestic views to members across one of the world's greatest and most historic cities.

Paradise Valley, Arizona was the next property to be added to the portfolio in July. The 3,300 square foot property offers three bedrooms and four baths and makes for the perfect leisure getaway. Members can relax beside the fireplace or BBQ at the outdoor living area or play an impromptu game of closest to the pin on the private putting green.

Another leisure destination was added to the portfolio later that month with the addition of Rancho Mirage, California. The four bedroom, four and one half bath is spread across the property's 3,800 square foot layout. The secluded gated yard has a hot tub, private pool, and outside BBQ area so everyone in the family has a place to relax.

Continuing with the US expansion, New York City was the next up on the club's acquisition schedule. In August, M acquired their 1,320 square foot condo in the heart of the city that never sleeps. Located on the 57th floor, the residence provides a panoramic view of the Empire State Building. The two bedroom, two bath property is just a short drive to both JFK and LaGuardia.

In November, another beach property came available, this time in Barbados. The 2,200 square foot property offers two bedrooms and two and one half baths, including a private plunge pool. Part of the famed Crane Resort, the hotel was originally purchased in 1887 and was completely restored and expanded to the current state. Just steps from one of the world's top ten beaches according to Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous, the Crane residence is the first property in the Caribbean for M Private Residences.

Not a bad year for the M Private Residences family of members. The club hopes to make another announcement in the coming weeks about another new property coming online soon, also in the states.
