Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson are having a day they would like to soon forget at the Bridgestone Invitational. What these top two golfers in the world have in common with members of the golf themed destination club PGA Tour Club is that both will have many great rounds in front of them.
The PGA Tour Club has added a selection of new properties to their portfolio in recent months, including Princeton, San Martin, and Sutton Bay. We matched these new residences against one another in our extended property of the week contest (way too many summer weddings in recent weeks). Our readers have voiced their opinions and selected San Martin as the winner.
One of the most acclaimed resorts in the United States, CordeValle rests in the foothills of northern California's Santa Cruz Mountains. Members of the PGA Tour Club have two different housing options while visiting the resort, each with their own advantages.
The aptly titled Fairway Homes span up to 3,100 square feet with each of the two bedrooms including king-size beds. For an additional cost and subject to availability, three and four bedroom units are also available for larger groups.
The Bungalows reside on the hillside overlooking the ninth fairway. Also with two bedrooms, the more intimate 750 square foot units include their own fireplace, private garden, and Whirlpool tub.
The adage "Drive for show and putt for dough" can be applied to The PGA Tour Club's residences. While fabulous, the course is what members really desire. Designed by Robert Trent Jones, Jr., CordeValle will be home to the 2011 PGA Cup. The par 72 course spans 7,169 open yards. Surrounded by 1,000 unencumbered acres, CordeValle expands to 270 total acres.
A sister club to Quintess, The Leading Residences of the World, the third largest destination club in operation, The PGA Tour Club members also enjoy reciprocal access to the Quintess portfolio and vice versa.
Primarily pursuing corporate members at present, The PGA Tour Club can give members the ultimate golf vacation to reward top performers, motivate employees, or incent clients. Earlier this year, The PGA Tour Club sent members to The Players Championship where they received "backstage pass access." Members were regaled with stories of the greatest moments in The Players Championship history and were even able to walk the course with Tour officials to set pins.
Joining a destination club isn't solely about the luxury vacation homes available to members, but also these added amenities not traditionally available to other travelers. Each club has their own distinct value added products provided to members, but with the abundance of options available, deciphering which would be best for you and your family can be a difficult task. At Destination Club News, we are dedicated to helping you find the club best suited for your unique travel needs. To begin, request a free copy of our Destination Club Guide and we will start you down the right path...or fairway.
