Many believe the best time to travel to Spain begins in May, avoiding the heat and high tourist season while still enjoying the sights and sounds the country has to offer. For the past week, we have pitted three destination club properties in Spain against one another, letting readers select their favorite residence between The Hideaways Club, Capricorne Villas, and The Oyster Circle. Capturing nearly 50% of the vote was The Oyster Circle's residence in Andalucia, giving members access to world-class golfing, natural parks, beaches, and an extensive list of other available activities.

The Oyster Circle AndaluciaOverlooking the Almenara golf course, four other acclaimed golf courses are located near the club's modern home in Sotogrande. While golf may be a major attraction, as The Oyster Circle writes, "You will have to forgo some time striking golf balls to enjoy all the delights that Andalucia has to offer."

Featuring its own infinity pool, deck, and lounge area, the state of the art residence also includes a formal dining room, multiple "fresco dining areas," landscaped gardens, and floor to ceiling windows in the living room. The master bedroom includes its own private balcony and sitting room and members can arrange for their own masseuse, yoga instructor, chef, or diving teacher for an additional fee.

For those who wish to explore the region, The Oyster Circle suggests a visit to the Sierra de Las Nieves Natural Park, located in the hills behind Marbella, known for its abundance of caves, the regions boasts a rich variety of flora and fauna. Puerto Banus is described as "a luxury marina and shopping complex for the jet-set and the super rich," but the club suggests hitting the tables at the casino to come back with more than you came with.

Last year, The Oyster Circle and Quintess announced a partnership that would allow members of both clubs reciprocal access to the other club's property portfolio. This partnership allows members of Quintess, LRW access to properties such as Sotogrande on a limited basis.

Mum is the word regarding The Oyster Circle in recent months. We will check in with our contacts at the club and report on their progress as we approach the half way mark of the second quarter of 2010.
