Featured Property: Quintess Aspen Steeplechase
By: Destination Club News Date: January 24, 2010
With the Colorado Rockies getting a fresh collection of new snow, Quintess's Aspen residence Steeplechase has won our featured property of the week vote, edging out their luxurious residences in Canouan and Jackson Hole.
Just 150 yards from the lifts at Aspen Highland Village, the three-story Quintess duplex home has its own elevator for those too tired to use the stairs following a long day on the slopes. At the base of a 12,500 foot mountain, members have easy access to 125 trails in the nearby area.
Introduced to the club's property portfolio in July of last year, Steeplechase would join with another Aspen residence, Cloud Nine.
"Aspen Highlands is a 12,500-foot mountain offering something for everyone in your family including lots of groomed cruisers, breathtaking views of Pyramid Peak with the Maroon Bells, and of course, Highlands’ renowned steep terrain," the club wrote. "Aspen Highlands offers more than 1,000 acres of big-mountain skiing and riding terrain, and at the base of it all are your two stunning homes. Each home is a three-story duplex equipped with an elevator accessing the four bedrooms, a spacious kitchen, an entertaining area with a stone fireplace, and more. The alpine-style aesthetic flows throughout the 4,900 to 5,500-square-feet homes incorporating stone, wood and mountain lodge architecture. From the many windows, decks and patios, take in the serene atmosphere of quivering aspen trees among a bluebird sky, with the neighboring homes around you and the nearby slopes beckoning you. The two Quintess, LRW homes at Aspen Highlands (Steeplechase, named after an area of dramatic upper mountain terrain, and Cloud Nine, named after an area at Aspen Highlands, the name of a lift, and the most upscale dining on the mountain) are within close proximity of each other, are ski accessible and have many other world-class amenities."
"While these two homes are a part of a separate development at the base of Aspen Highlands called Thunder Bowl, Members staying at either Steeplechase or Cloud Nine do receive access to select amenities at The Ritz-Carlton Residence Club, which is the focal point of the Aspen Highlands base village. Exclusive to Quintess, LRW Members staying at these two homes are passes to the larger Ritz-Carlton Residence Club fitness center, pool and spa located in the main Elkhorn Lodge, and the two slope-side heated outdoor pools and Jacuzzis. Members staying at Steeplechase or Cloud Nine will also have access to the Member Privileges associated with Aspen Town and Red Mountain, which include exclusive access to the Caribou Club and the Aspen Club & Spa, parking privileges at the Little Nell, and more."
Averaging over $4 million each, the properties within the Quintess property portfolio remain one of the most popular options in the destination club industry. Last year, the club had nearly 100 member transactions and passed the 500 member mark in route to receiving our 2009 Destination Club of the Year honor.
