Exclusive Resorts Seeks To Expand Awareness In Latin America
By: Destination Club News Date: March 23, 2010
Exclusive Resorts, the world's largest destination club in terms of members and total properties, counts 33 residences in Los Cabos, 19 in Puerto Vallarta, 21 in Costa Rica, 16 in the Cayman Islands, seven in the Bahamas, three in the Turks & Caicos, and six in the British Virgin Islands. With over 100 properties in Latin America, not including over 20 residences in the also popular Southern Florida, Exclusive Resorts has announced that they will begin working with The Americas Group to increase awareness of their destination club south of the border.
"Exclusive Resorts has set the standard for the luxury destination club space for seven years, creating a unique way for families and friends to travel together using elegant multi-room villas and cosmopolitan residences that is simply better than any alternative," said Howard Glicken, Founder, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of The Americas Group. "We look forward to working with them to showcase their outstanding destinations, service and amenities in this exciting market."
With nearly four decades of experience, The Americas Group will assist Exclusive Resorts in reaching "greater numbers of prospective members in Latin America." With such a strong collection of properties easily accessible by local members, Exclusive Resorts hopes to become the leading club in the US, but also the first to establish a dominant position in Mexico, Chile, Argentina, and other Latin American countries.
"The Americas Group is the pre-eminent U.S.-based consulting and marketing firm focused on Latin America, with unmatched credibility," said Jeff Potter, Chief Executive Officer of Exclusive Resorts. "We are excited to begin leveraging their deep expertise in the region, to create efficient channels for adding new club members throughout Latin America."
Earlier this month we profiled how Singapore may be the next destination club frontier with the recent launch of LUXLife and the addition of a new Singapore and Hong Kong sales office by The Hideaways Club. With Exclusive Resorts delving into Latin America and clubs like the Abercrombie & Kent Residence Club already establishing a market presence in the region, there is some debate as to where the destination club concept will advance best.
