Exclusive Resorts Members To Receive VIP Access To Kentucky Derby

Mint juleps, grandiose hats, and roses are all key ingredients to the upcoming Exclusive Resorts Member Event in May when members and guests will take in the Kentucky Derby firsthand at Churchill Downs. The first leg of the Triple Crown, The Kentucky is famously known as "The Fastest Two Minutes In Sports." Members will enjoy the event from a private infield suite, with special members-only programming, but the highlights of the trip will include far more than just the race.

Saturday morning, members will be able to frequent the Galt House XHALE Spa, visit the many boutiques, or relax beside the waterfront pool before making their way to Churchill Downs for the 137th "Run for the Roses."

These member only events are some of the more popular excursions within the Exclusive Resorts catalogue. Several dozen members and guests participated in the club's sixth annual Member Only Golf Tournament. Members not only got to play the famed Seaside and Plantation Courses at the Sea Island Golf Club, but also received professional instruction, including a swing analysis and tips on bunker, chipping, and putting play. Over the course of 2010, over 300 members and guests attended these events, ranging from batting practice at Wrigley Field to the annual Kids Take Manhattan event, complete with a private tour of the Statue of Liberty. Last month, nearly 100 members and their guests spent over a week in South Africa as part of the club's Once in a Lifetime program, another collection of vacations available to club members.
