Exclusive Resorts Makes Trial Offer To Ultimate Escapes Members

A day after Ultimate Escapes filed for bankruptcy, members are left with countless questions about the downfall of the world's second largest destination club. What happened to the membership deposits, annual dues, and assessment fees paid into the club over the years? Who is running the club during its bankruptcy? Where will I be able to travel into the future? Exclusive Resorts may not have the answers to those first two questions, but the world's largest destination club has introduced a new trial membership offer that will allow Ultimate Escapes members the opportunity to travel through nearly the end of next year.

Exclusive Resorts Offer To Ultimate EscapesAvailable exclusively to Ultimate Escapes members, a one-year limited trial offer has been created, allowing for 10 days of vacation for $14,900. Members are able to make one Advanced Reservation for up to seven of their vacation days with the remaining balance used as a Space Available Reservation. The 10 nights must be used by December 15, 2011.

To not cannibalize availability for existing club members, Exclusive Resorts is only making 100 of these limited trial offers available. Members that do take advantage of this opportunity and enjoy the Exclusive Resorts experience will be able to have 100% of their one-time fee credited towards their membership purchase if they join before September 30, 2011.

Despite what has been a rather poor year for the destination club industry, further punctuated by yesterday's Ultimate Escapes bankruptcy filing, Exclusive Resorts has sold over 100 new memberships in 2010 and had over 70 existing members upgrade to higher membership plans. Earlier in the year, the club also surpassed the 100,000 vacation plateau, receiving an overall trip satisfaction score of greater than 90% every year since the club's inception.

Ultimate Escapes members have many options in front of them as their club continues to consider the alternatives on the table. Exclusive Resorts' offer joins one already introduced by Quintess and several other clubs are evaluating the purchase of Ultimate Escapes today. The next several days and weeks will drastically reshape the destination club industry as it is today, so please check back frequently for real-time updates about the sector and its leading players.
