Today, members and guests of Exclusive Resorts, the world's largest destination club, began checking in for the club's Annual Spring Napa/Sonoma Wine Tour member event. More than 35 members and guests have already begun checking in to the club's residences in San Francisco.

Exclusive Resorts counts 12 two-bedroom apartments within Fairmont Heritage Place, Ghirardelli Square in San Francisco. Situated within buildings dating back to 1864 and originally part of Ghirardelli's cocoa, each residence combines the charm of yesteryear with the modern amenities of today. Averaging over 1,200 square feet each, each apartment offers high speed wireless internet access and a full kitchen.

The event begins today with members having the evening to explore the city by the bay. Tomorrow, visits to Quintessa and Cakebread Cellars is on the agenda. The member only event will wrap up on Sunday.

"Each day, private chefs will prepare gourmet meals that will be expertly paired with the wines you sample," wrote Exclusive Resorts when the event was announced. "The highly respected winemakers will take the time to show you around their estates, welcome you into their lovely homes and share with you their most exceptional vintages. Expect impeccable service, exquisite wines, friendly guides and a welcoming atmosphere in which to get to know your fellow members. Each winery will share rare vintages from their own cellars that are not available for sale."

Exclusive Resorts is one of the many destination clubs trying to bring members together through member only events. Also on the schedule for 2010 are a VIP baseball experience with the Chicago Cubs, a boat trip in Lake Tahoe, a scuba diving adventure off Grand Cayman's coast, and the club's sixth annual member golf tournament amongst others.

For wine enthusiasts, Exclusive Resorts also has a longstanding partnership with Destination Cellars, a destination club focused on providing members with luxury wine experiences who just conducted their own San Francisco wine dinner earlier this month.

These member only events are just some of the many ancillary benefits available to destination club members. In addition to luxury accommodations around the globe, members enjoy pre-travel services from dedicated trip planners and on-site concierge services while in residence.
