Exclusive Resorts Closes In On 100,000 Vacations
By: Destination Club News Date: January 5, 2010
During the near seven years since Exclusive Resorts sold their first membership, they have crossed many important thresholds. The first destination club to have over $1 billion in real estate assets. The first club with 2,000 members. The first club with 3,000 members. None of those accomplishments have been approached by the other industry leaders and Exclusive Resorts is closing in on yet another milestone that they will own for years to come with their 100,000th executed vacation.
Projected to take place at some point during the first quarter of the new year, Exclusive Resorts already has planned some special "surprises" for the record setting guests. In addition, until February 21, members can participate in the "100,000th Vacation Photo Contest" where members can submit their favorite photos while traveling with the club. The twist is that the Exclusive Resorts logo must be somewhere in the frame. The club will award the first, second, and third place winners with additional space available nights ranging from one to five nights.
- First Prize: Five additional Space Available nights.
- Second Prize: Three additional Space Available nights.
- Third Prize: One additional Space Available nights.
Selling their first membership on March 1, 2003, Exclusive Resorts has routinely posted satisfaction scores greater than 90% year over year and is at 93% for 2009, a slight upswing from 2008. In our weekly vote, Exclusive Resorts was also voted the "Destination Club of the Decade."
While the 100,000 threshold isn't a magic number, it does demonstrate the streamlined service levels the club has worked through over the years. We recently profiled the Exclusive Resorts' service team and their dedication to members' satisfaction.
"What we do as a Member Services Manager is we get to know you and your family," said Daniel Rosalky. "We get to know the things about you that maybe your best friend of twenty years doesn't know about you, because it affects what sort of bedding configuration you want. What sort of food we put in the pantries. What sort of activities you want to do. We know dietary needs. We know the things that interest you. Whether it is art and museum or more adventure based. We'll sit there and speak to you on the phone for hours if necessary, and not talk about Exclusive Resorts, but talk about you and your family. To understand what it is going to make a truly great vacation for you."
Exclusive Resorts is currently in the process of making a two year adjustment to their members' payments that will bring the club's costs in line with their revenues next year as the destination club industry evolves to a structure where new memberships aren't required to be sustainable. With an established and experienced service team and structure in place, that is one less element that members and executives need to be concerned about as the club moves forward.
