Everlands Looks Overseas

Everlands, a young destination club with a conservation focus, is looking to cross the pond to complete thier Founding Membership offer, complete with their own European sales branch led by D'Arcy Wyvill.

"Everlands is currently looking for fifteen "Founder Investors" in the UK," said Wyvill. "Having already secured 20 of these important first members in the US, they are asking for a few supporters to joing first, for a fee of £500,000, which is above the current normal membership rate as it stands. However, in return, your investment is secured against Hotel Endsleigh, which these 15 will effectively buy, and which Everlands will buy back once they've reached a certain level of membership."

Once the club reaches 250 members, Everlands will buy back Hotel Endsleigh from the members and allow the investor/members to continue to use the club's services and properties even after they have been repaid.

Founding Members will have:

  • No annual dues for three years
  • 0.25% equity in the development company
  • Free membership in Everlands

Investors who do not want to access the club's amenities and view the club exclusively as an investment opportunity will have a one-time put option and the club will guarantee a buy back at the offered opening membership rate.

Everlands plans to reach the 250 member threshold by December of 2009, a virtual impossibility quoting 20 current members. Exclusive Resorts and High Country Club took nine and ten months respectively to reach the 100 member plateau, the two fastest clubs to reach that mark.

Everlands' model is vastly different from other destination clubs. The club purchases resorts that are available to members, but also rents out space to non-members until the club reaches its capacity.

The Founder Investors offer is planned to end in September of this year.
