Equity Estates and The Hideaways Club Announce Strategic Alliance

By: Destination Club News
Date: January 11, 2010

Just shy of the one year anniversary of the Quintess and The Oyster Circle strategic partnership that allowed members of both clubs reciprocal access to the other club's collection of vacation properties, two of the world's leading and fastest growing destination clubs have announced that they will form an alliance that will greatly bolster the number of properties available to members. Equity Estates, a leading US based equity destination club, and The Hideaways Club, Europe's premiere property investment fund, will both now give members access to nearly 30 luxury residences in 23 of the world's most stunning destinations through an exchange program between the two clubs.

"This alliance between Equity Estates and The Hideaways Club is ideal as it facilitates international growth for both companies and enhances the already stellar value proposition for owner members of both funds," said Adam Capes, Co-Founder of Equity Estates. "We cannot imagine a better way to begin 2010 than doubling our portfolio of accessible properties."

The new partnership will give each club a far more established global property collection, joining the 18 predominantly European and Asian properties in The Hideaways Club portfolio with the 11 residences available to Equity Estates members. The combined portfolio will include popular getaways such as Los Cabos, Mexico; Phuket, Thailand; New York City; New York; Bali, Indonesia; Wailea, Hawaii; and Marrakesh, Morocco amongst others.

"Our companies have a common model and a common goal: to provide unparalleled vacations coupled with a sound investment, so it seems natural to create this strategic alliance for the benefit of our individual companies and our respective owner members," said Mike Balfour, Chairman of The Hideaways Club. "This is a unique exchange relationship in the industry and greatly enhances our opportunities for growth moving forward."

Following the Quintess and Oyster Circle partnership last year, we predicted more similar partnerships would take place in the future. These alliances not only provide members with an increased property collection, but maybe more importantly, at virtually no cost to the club or its members.

Equity Estates is coming off of yet another banner year and we have exciting news to report on The Hideaways Club in the near future, and as Capes says, "We cannot imagine a better way to begin 2010 than doubling our portfolio of accessible properties." Both leaders in the destination club industry, expect a great deal of new information from both Equity Estates and The Hideaways Club throughout 2010.
